Versus Terms of Use

These Terms are an agreement between you and Raedacon Labs (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2026/010100/07, Republic of South Africa) ("Raedacon Labs", "we", "us") for your use of the Versus mobile app ("Versus" or "the App"). By using Versus you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Community Guidelines. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. Who can use Versus

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• You may not use Versus if we have previously banned you.

2. Your account

• You can use Versus as a guest or create an account with email or Google Sign-In. Guests have lower limits and do not appear on leaderboards.
• Keep your sign-in details secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
• One person may have one account. Accounts may not be sold or transferred.
• Your username must follow the Community Guidelines. We may change or remove a username that does not.

3. Using Versus

Versus lets you vote on comparisons, comment, suggest new comparisons, earn XP and achievements, and appear on leaderboards. Daily vote and suggestion limits apply and depend on your account type.

You agree not to:

• break the law or the Community Guidelines;
• manipulate votes or leaderboards, including with multiple accounts, bots or scripts;
• interfere with, reverse engineer, or try to gain unauthorised access to the App or its servers;
• misuse reporting, support or appeal channels.

4. Your content

• You keep ownership of the comments and suggestions you submit ("your content"). You give Raedacon Labs a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display, adapt (for example, to fit the App's layout) and distribute your content in connection with Versus.
• You confirm you have the right to submit your content and that it does not infringe anyone's rights.
• Text is checked automatically against our content rules before it is published; content that breaks them is blocked and recorded. Suggestions are reviewed by an administrator and may be edited, rejected or removed.
• When you delete your account, your approved suggestions stay in Versus without your name, as described in the Privacy Policy.

5. AI-generated images

Images for approved suggestions may be generated with artificial intelligence (Google Gemini). They are illustrations only and may be inaccurate. If you believe an image infringes your rights, contact us and we will review it.

6. Moderation, suspensions and bans

We may warn you, remove content, suspend you from creating content, or ban your account and device if you break these Terms or the Community Guidelines. Suspensions can be applied automatically based on repeated violations. You can appeal a warning or suspension in the App or by emailing us.

7. Purchases

7.1 General

• Purchases are made through Google Play and are subject to Google Play's terms. Prices are shown in the App and in Google Play, in your local currency, including any taxes Google Play applies.
• A purchase is delivered once Google Play confirms it, which can take a few seconds.

7.2 Premium subscription

• Premium is an auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly or yearly. Its benefits are described in the App at the time you subscribe.
• It renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel it in Google Play. You can cancel at any time; Premium stays active until the end of the period you have paid for.
• A free trial, when offered, is shown before you subscribe and is available only to eligible accounts. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the subscription starts and you are charged.
• Deleting your account or uninstalling the App does not cancel your subscription.
• We may change Premium's benefits or price. Price changes are handled by Google Play, which notifies you in advance as its rules require.

7.3 Power Votes

• Power Votes are virtual items that give a vote extra weight, as described in the App. They are used up when you use them.
• Power Votes have no cash value, cannot be exchanged for money, and cannot be transferred to another account. Unused Power Votes are lost if your account is deleted or banned.

7.4 Refunds

Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policies. Nothing in these Terms limits any right to a refund or other remedy you have under consumer protection law that applies to you.

8. Ads

Free and guest accounts see ads provided by Google AdMob. Premium subscribers do not see ads.

9. Our rights

Versus, including its software, design, text and artwork (other than your content and third-party material), belongs to Raedacon Labs or its licensors. You may use the App only for personal, non-commercial purposes.

10. Changes and availability

• We may update, change or discontinue features of Versus. If we discontinue Versus entirely, we will give reasonable notice and handle active subscriptions through Google Play.
• We may update these Terms. We will update the "Last Updated" date and ask you to accept material changes in the App before you continue using it.
• Versus may sometimes be unavailable, for example during maintenance.

11. Disclaimers and liability

• Voting results, leaderboards, XP and achievements are for entertainment and have no monetary value.
• To the extent the law allows, Versus is provided "as is" and "as available", and Raedacon Labs is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for content posted by other users.
• To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
• Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited, or any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived.

12. Ending your use of Versus

You can stop using Versus and delete your account at any time (Account → Profile → Delete Account, or see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms. Sections 4, 7.3, 9, 11 and 13 continue to apply afterwards.

13. Law and disputes

• These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
• If you have a problem, please contact us first at support@raedaconlabs.com so we can try to resolve it informally.
• If it cannot be resolved, the courts of the Republic of South Africa have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country and may also bring proceedings in your local courts.

14. General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a right, we have not waived it. We may transfer these Terms to a successor of Versus; you may not transfer them without our consent.
